KEY TEXT: Phil. 4-4-6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
KEY THOT: Anxiety is the absence of peace. Between Paul's exhortation "do not be anxious" and the "peace of God" is prayer, petition and praise. If we are always anxious, the antidote is turn the problem into prayer followed by praise and thanksgiving. When we have done this, the result is the "peace of God" that "transcends all understanding". We know it's God's peace because it keeps our hearts and our minds in Christ Jesus.
To deal with the never-ending challenge of a typical workplace environment, we should keep our prayer "online" with God, turning every problem into praise. Prayer should be as unceasing as our never-ending challenges, for it will keep us Christ-centred throughout the day.
Father, thank You for the peace that transcends all understanding when we turn every problem into praise. Amen.
