Psalm 107:1-3, 23-32 God Delivers us from our Troubles

KEY TEXT: Ps 107:28-29 Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble, and he delivered them from their distress. He made the storm be still, and the waves of the sea were hushed.

KEY THOT: God’s mercy is unconditional—He responds to those who cry out to Him in their trouble: “they cried to the Lord in their trouble, and he delivered them from their distress.” When we are in troubles (work, family, relationship, etc), we should cry out to the Lord when confronted with the storms. He promises to still the storms and calm the waves.

When faced with any trouble, my first response should always be: “Help Lord!” He may grant me wisdom to act and show me the path of escape. Or He may sovereignly change circumstances. Whatever it is, I must look to Him for the way of escape.

I must keep my heart and mind focused on the Lord throughout the day. I must keep Him “online”, never offline. Even while struggling through unfamiliar territory in my work/ministry, I mustn’t panic but ask the Lord for wisdom to do everything. Thank You Lord You’ve never failed to deliver those who cry out to You for help.

Father, I thank You that with You nothing is impossible. So when I am faced with an “impossible” situation, I know that to You it is possible and I can always ask You for help. Amen.
