Isaiah 40:21-31 God's Power for the Weak

Isa 40:28-31 Have you not known? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He does not faint or grow weary; his understanding is unsearchable. He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might he increases strength. Even youths shall faint and be weary, and young men shall fall exhausted; but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.

KEY VERSE: Isaiah 40:29 He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might he increases strength.

Amazing grace! God’s power is not hoarded for himself but distributed freely to everyone who needs it and calls upon Him for it. Because He's willing to share His power, might and wisdom with the weak who wait on Him and call upon Him, I can do all things through Him
despite my weakness. It’s only when I acknowledge I am weak in my humanity that I have become strong in Christ. As I ponder over how God has used me over the years to work out His plan and purpose through me, I’m amazed by His grace. I can say for certainty: I am what I am by the grace of God and I've done what I did only by His grace alone.

When I focus on God’s power and might, rather than my own limitations and inadequacies, I can do the impossible. With God, nothing shall be impossible because when I commit my task to Him, He works it out according to His might and power, not according to mine.

PRAYER: Lord Jesus, I thank You for Your promise that I can do things through Christ who gives me strength. May Your Spirit be the power and might in my life, work and ministry, so I may not depend on my own human wisdom and strength. Amen.
