Proverbs 24: Resourcing for Success

Prov 24:5-6 A wise man has great power, and a man of knowledge increases strength; for waging war you need guidance, and for victory many advisers.
Prov 24:3-4 By wisdom a house is built, and through understanding it is established; through knowledge its rooms are filled with rare and beautiful treasures.

To be successful, we need three important ingredients:

1) Wisdom: Wisdom is the ability to make right decisions in every life situation. It is usually acquired through life experiences (of making wrong decisions). The ability to make good decisions that consistently lead to positive outcomes gives a man great power over any situation he is confronted with. Wisdom empowers the person with an overcoming attitude, not a defeatist attitude because he knows how to turn an adverse situation around.

2) Knowledge: Knowledge is information acquired through learning from Scriptures, life experiences and from books. In this technological world, we need technical know-how to be effective in the tapping on innovative technology that empowers us to find information in the internet. Knowledge about the world of politics, economics and scientific developments empowers us in making good decisions. Ignorance is not bliss: it can hinder our personal development and lead to bad decisions: "Readers of today are leaders of tomorrow."

3) Human resources: Finally, for successful endeavors, we need good people who can give good advice because of their special skills &  knowledge. For any work for God to succeed, we need many such competent advisers working behind the scene--e.g. sound systems, marketing, intercession, healing & deliverance ministry, music, follow-up & discipleship, admin & logistics.

Father, we ask You to fill us with Your Spirit of wisdom and revelation so that we might have the wisdom, knowledge and understanding to wage spiritual warfare against Satan and his kingdom, to set his captives free from darkness, sin and slavery and bring them into Your Kingdom of light, freedom and obedience. In Jesus' name, Amen.
